Jackson Barrett & Gass last week missed out on a second Excellence Award in 6 months, after being pipped by Professional Services Category winner, and overall President Award winner, Ernst & Young, at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Excellence Awards.
The professional services category contained 5 international firms, 4 of which have been named in the Top 50 of the Business Superbrands survey 2010, with Ernst & Young taking the highest position at 21.
The awards were presented at a black-tie event at the Grange St Pauls Hotel in London on 17 February 2010, hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis, of Mock the Week.
Jackson Barrett & Gass has developed an approach to supporting house sales using Home Information Packs (HIPs). HIPs have been widely criticised by the property market, but Jackson Barrett & Gass has developed HIPs of a high standard at a low price, which has succeeded in retaining old clients, attracting new ones and developing profitable relationships with local Estate agents. In November, they won the Law Society Excellence Award for Marketing & Business Development.
David Thorp, Director of Research and Professional Development at The Chartered Institute of Marketing said, "The Marketing Excellence Awards have been especially created to highlight the fundamental role marketing plays, throughout both business and the public sector, and to celebrate the best marketing achievements across many industry sectors. It recognises outstanding marketing from UK organisations, both large and small.
The entrants demonstrated the innovation and creativity needed to demonstrate good marketing practice and even innovation, during the current financial downturn. The diversity and creativity of the entries resulted in much deliberation by the judging teams to judge and mark the worthy short list."
Rick Barrow, Marketing Manager, said, "Obviously I was disappointed to miss out on the night, but to be named as a finalist with such prestigious companies is a credit to my employers.
I'd like to thank Jackson Barrett & Gass for being so supportive in terms of my marketing plans and career development."
