The outstanding achievements of Jackson Barrett & Gass have again been recognised by the judges of the most prestigious awards in the legal calendar.

Jackson Barrett & Gass has been short-listed for the Law Society's Excellence Awards in the category of Excellence in Conveyancing.

The category is only open to Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) members. CQS is the Law Society's Conveyancing standard, and is referred to as the 'Quality Mark for Conveyancing'.

Jackson Barrett & Gass are part of approximately 15% of law firms in England and Wales accredited to CQS, which shows the firm has met high standards in the way it is managed.

BBC Broadcaster Mishal Husain will present the awards at a prestigious black tie dinner and presentation ceremony which will take place on 18th October at Old Billingsgate, London.

The awards reward the most outstanding practitioners in the legal professions. They are designed to recognise best practice across the entire legal profession and to celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement in areas that are central to the profession today. They highlight innovative business and quality of life practices, successful approaches to practice management, contributions through social responsibility and equality and diversity initiatives.

Rick Barrow, Marketing Manager, says: "CQS is all about monitoring and tailoring the way we provide our Conveyancing services to our clients needs. This short listing demonstrates the firms achievement in doing so, which includes client feedback, financial performance, risk management, and other business innovation.

We are very proud to have our achievements and hard work consistently recognised by the Law Society. "

Law Society president Lucy Scott-Moncrieff said of this year's entries: "The quality of this year's entries is astonishingly high and a Testament to the fact that the profession continues to innovate and deliver high-quality legal services even in these economically challenging times.

"The marketplace is changing quickly, with greater external pressure and competition, so it's great to see that firms are showing no signs of complacency. Far from it, this year's entries show that the UK legal sector continues to spearhead solutions that allow it to stay at the top of the game.

"I take great pride in announcing a shortlist of such outstanding firms, teams and individuals."
