Jackson Barrett & Gass Solicitors have raised £1114.00 for the Animal Sanctuary as part of Will Week.
The Wilmslow law firm provided standard Wills & advice in return for a donation to the Animal Sanctuary, Wilmslow.
A Will (or Testament) is a legal declaration by which a person, the Testator, names one or more persons to manage his/her Estate and provides for the transfer of his/her property at death. Will Week gives an opportunity to consider important personal factors whilst supporting a local charity either through donations & legacies.
The Animal Sanctuary, Wilmslow, is run by the Humane Education Society, a charitable organisation working for a more compassionate society through education and practical work with children and animals.
The Sanctuary requires constant financial support to help look after the rising number animals that come into their care each year and to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to live out their lives if they cannot be rehomed. The Society has plans in place for the future and with sufficient finance will be helping animals and promoting humane principles for many years to come.
Melanie Hay, Trustee of The Animal Sanctuary, said “It's absolutely wonderful that Jackson, Barrett and Gass, a firm of local Solicitors, have come forward to support us.
Their expertise has helped local people make Wills & organise their affairs, whilst at the same time supporting a small, dedicated animal sanctuary situated on their doorsteps that is struggling for funds. We are so grateful to Jackson, Barrett and Gass for all kindness.”
Wills & Probate specialist, Paul Clark, said “We received a fantastic response from the local community during Will Week.
It encouraged many people to approach a difficult subject and discuss how they would like to help their loved ones. Everybody we met showed great enthusiasm for supporting the Sanctuary and we are very proud of the generous donations made by our clients.”
