According to folklore, Friday 13th is an unlucky day. However, Friday 13th 2009 proved to be lucky for homeowners and property professionals in the Cheshire area. Macclesfield Borough Council, soon to become Cheshire East Council on the 1st April, sent out their first ever electronic local search.

Wilmslow firm Jackson Barrett & Gass, received and were consulted on, the first ever electronic local search from Macclesfield Borough Council.

Marketing Manager, Rick Barrow, comments We are very proud to have been consulted on the new electronic search.

We are a strong supporter of Macclesfield Borough Council local searches. They are accepted by all mortgage lenders, and all our Home Information Packs contain them. Many purchasing Solicitors have commented on the time and money saved, because our Home Information Packs contain full local searches rather than personal searches.”
