Residential Conveyancing

JB Gass organises the transfer of legal titles of property from one person to another.

Residential Conveyancing

We have been established in Wilmslow, Cheshire for almost one hundred years and over the decades we have assisted many individuals and businesses, gaining a detailed understanding of the areas in which we work.

If you want help with the transfer of a legal title of a property from one person to another, our residential solicitors are here for you. Our conveyancers are available to support the two major landmarks, exchanging contracts and the completion of the residential conveyancing, and will work hard to ensure that each procedure is done correctly and to the highest standards.

What is residential conveyancing?

Residential Conveyancing is a term used to describe the legal process of purchasing or selling a property, whereby the contractual title of a property is transferred from one owner to another. Essentially, the buyer of a property must ensure that they obtain a good and marketable ‘title’ to the land; i.e., that the seller is the owner, has the right to sell the property, and there is nothing which would impede a mortgage or re-sale.

We know how important it is to have the right support during the residential conveyancing process, which is why our conveyancing lawyers are here to help and offer support at every step of the process, including negotiating, reviewing or drafting lease agreements.

How long does a residential conveyancing purchase take?

The length of purchasing varies for each case, but we estimate it takes between eight to sixteen weeks. During this time, our residential conveyancers work hard to ensure the swiftest possible process without compromising on the quality of their work.
